If you are looking for a couple of really easy magic tricks to learn that you can try on your friends then the two following ones will be perfect for you. Some people are unable to master anything to complicated and so coming up with a couple of easy options is a great idea. Of course, you’ll need to do a bit of practice first - watching yourself perform in front of a mirror is a good way - but then you’ll be ready for show time!
Both of the tricks will involve the use of cards and a are very easy to learn and carry off. It may be that some will see straight through them if you do not carry them out well so it is best to practice as much as you can.
First up, grab some cards and then get a participant to pick any one of them out. It really doesn’t matter which card they choose. When they are remembering it then quickly whip over the bottom card and turn the entire bunch around.
Now get then to replace the card anywhere into the deck without you looking at where they are putting it. Then find their card behind your back by turning over the top card that you had already flipped and hand the cards back to the person. They will flick through them and their card will be turned the opposite way from the others.
Next try this easy trick. Shuffle up the cards once of twice. Then have a sneaky look at the bottom card without them seeing you. Now drop the cards from the bottom onto the ground and ask someone to say stop once you have reached the tenth or so card.
Now pick them up, and pile them up with the card you checked out sat on top. Give them the pile and let them take a look at the top card to remember- they will not know that you already know what it is. Now ask them to muddle up the cards as they wish for a while and then find their card to their utter amazement.

When compared to just about any other musical instrument out there, it’s hard to dispute that the guitar is extremely cool. Sure, the drums have their fans and there’s something primal about beating on those skins but the guitar can go pretty much anywhere and a drum set can’t. Indeed, most men instantly know that the guitar is the primo, number one instrument of all time.
At any rate, it can get pretty tiring trying to carry around a drum set on one’s back when being able to carry around any acoustic or electric guitar is a breeze. It’s certainly done its part to entice men and boys into trying to pick it up and learn to play it. In fact, even one of those big and bulky dreadnought acoustic guitar setups sings a siren song of attraction to most guys.
In addition to all of the guitar’s physical attractions, there seems to be something metaphysical to it, as well. Certainly women seem to feel it, as most of them admit that a guy who knows how to play guitar is — even when he’s really not — a bit more interesting. It may not be that they’re all that attracted to the guy, but the sounds coming from the guitar certainly have an effect.
Think about guitars for second; they have a certain shape to them that just calls out to people to play them. Pick up a nice Alvarez acoustic guitar and give it a run. Many men go wobbly just at the possibility of them being able to learn to play it well enough. Truthfully, very few ever really do learn to really hammer it, but guys have their fantasies about such things, it must be admitted.
Guitars have really come to dominate cultural music perspective over the last half-century from the time when Chuck Berry first started duck walking across the stage to the sweet sounds of a melodic rendition of ‘Johnny B. Goode.’ And though the whole Chuck Berry thing is meant to be humorous, it’s still true that a guy sitting around with even an acoustic guitar eventually tries to figure out the opening run to that song, no matter his age.
This is what’s ultimately attractive about guitars, whether they are acoustic or electric; they just sound nice and they look equally as nice. Go to a music store and select a really nice Takamine acoustic guitar and give it a run. Get good enough at it and then transfer that skill over to a Gibson or a Fender and really let them wail. Guys that can do so think the world is their oyster, as a matter of fact.
Yes, it has to be said; there truly is no cooler musical instrument than the guitar. It doesn’t matter whether someone plays strictly acoustic or strictly electric; pulling out a guitar and being able to strum a few chords automatically elevates whoever’s doing the playing just a little bit above other people in the same room, which is really, really cool.

If you are reading this article than you might be wanting to learn a little more about how to really rock. If you are in a band, or want to learn how to play music, than it really takes a bit of consideration on a few different factors to really make it happen. Success can be achieved if you take all of this into consideration.
All of the factors and areas of focus that are going to be listed in the upcoming paragraphs are equally important to one another. You have to establish yourself in every factor that will be listed, if you really intend to bring your music to the national or even international stage.
I suppose one of the first things that you should consider is the genre of music that you intend to end up playing. This is not always the type of music that you like to listen to, although that is often a good place to start. There are several different factors that can play into your choice, but once you decide you have to work to make that genre your own. Sound like no one has sounded.
Just like a truck driver needs a decent truck to make his deliveries, a musician needs a good instrument to make good music. You see, you have to invest in this aspect of your craft, because if you go low end, your sound will too. If you are playing acoustics, you should check out an Alvarez or a Takamine acoustic guitar. Electrics are leaned more towards Fender and Ibanez. These are not the very best, but they are quality that will really improve your sound.
So you establish your genre, you get a nice dreadnought acoustic guitar, and now you start to figure out how to get your music out to the people that need to hear it. I would like to caution you to avoid contacting record labels on your own, as they rarely accept materials from artists themselves. You should send off some materials to a management group, and let them take care of it for you.
This process really starts with putting together a good press kit to send to these management groups. These kits include tracks that you have recorded, a biography of the members of your band, and some photographs and videos of the group. If you are sending videos, you should do so in DVD format’perhaps even to be played on a graphic LCD HD television.
So this might be sound advice to getting the ball rolling on a serious music career. You see, there is no one standing in the way of your success but you, so just let it happen. Work hard and make calculated and informed decisions concerning your music.

The last thing you are thinking about when you dress up and go out on the town is self defense. Regretably it is that state of mind that makes theatre goers and other individuals of the arts helpless to criminals. Forgetting that crime can happen at any time can make it easier for criminals of all types to target you.
The Geography of Self Defense
Due to economic necessity, many theatres are located in less savory areas of town and the risk for crimes such as petty theft, car jacking, assault etc. is augmented. It is important that you don’t let the beauty of the building conceal the adjoining neighborhood. Countless art institutions are alert of the probable amplified danger to their patrons and supply suggestions for personal safety when attending the art events.
Be alert of your environment making sure that you park close to your destination. In fact, if the theater has parking associated with its facility, use their parking structure even if it ends up costing a few dollars more than parking on the street. Trust your instincts as you examine the people around you, even those who appear to be fellow patrons of the arts.
Self Defense Concealed in Your Purse
One other component to think about is to put an additional item in your purse along with your credit card and lipstick. Self defense guns are extremely discrete if call for and can also be obtained especially with a small handbag in mind.
Pepper spray is also an extremely portable self defense option. Accessible in numerous types and sizes of containers, personal safety sprays can be taken around without having to worry about looking awkward and possibly take away the evening’s elegance. Concealed pepper spray is available in the form of everyday objects such as pagers, rings, and other things that could easily be found in a lady’s handbag or a man’s briefcase even on a dressier evening.
An addition measure of protection would be to buy a stun gun that can also be obscured in a handbag or purse. This non-lethal weapon option is both effective and safe and could mean the difference between a close call and an early curtain call.

Everyone loves a good magic trick. They can be used at all sorts of occasions and will always tricks at least a few people. Here are a couple of easy to do magic tricks with card that you can memorise for that next social occasion where they could come in handy.
Firstly, the magic flip card trick.
Here you need to get a member of the audience to pick out a card from the deck and then study it. Whilst he is looking at the card, quickly turn over the bottom card on the pack and then flip the entire thing over. You should then tell the person with the card to put it back into the deck. You can then put the deck behind your back and tell the audience that you will find the card. Now turn the top card back over and pass back the deck to the audience member. Tell him to flick through the deck and the only card he finds that is overturned will be the one he picked out.
Next try out the count down trick.
This is an equally simple to do trick that employed the same sort of tricks to confuse your audience. Simply shuffle up the cards and then have a quick look at the card at the bottom. Now drop the cards from the bottom to the floor one by one and tell someone to say stop when you have gotten to about ten. Now pick up the cards you have dropped and pile them up, making sure that you place the card that you have memorised (the one from the bottom of the deck) back at the top of the pile. Now show them this card, but do not show yourself and then get them to shuffle the pack. Now simply look through the deck and amaze them as you pick our the card that you memorised.
These two simple tricks will be sure to baffle your friends at the next social gathering you attend.

I personally adore music to a point where my deathbed wish would probably to have a radio play in my grave after I’ve long been buried. What I really like about music is that it can carry you on a wave of emotion and make you feel certain things. But making good music is the hardest part for ay aspiring musician. I will show you what you can do to penetrate the music industry.
No one ever makes it in the music industry if they don’t practice. Practice makes perfect in any area of life and without this you won’t be able to make it as an artist. When you get to the point of recording at studios that charge you per hour you will end up paying to much money because you lack adequate practice.
Thousands of new songs are recorded everyday and it is no mystery that such recording don’t take too much time to get recognition. The reason for this is that their quality is so high up there with the established and famous. To achieve the same level of success my advice is that you strive for good quality recordings and equipment. For example, if a certain wireless reading device will put you on the same footing as mainstream musicians then you too must purchase it to get to the same level.
Getting music out there is a cause of concern for many a musician. For the most part they have attained an acceptable standard of quality but no one knows they exist. To make sure that people know your music you can start with live performances at festivals and auditions. Do so throughout the year and within the same period there should be a buzz around town.
Nevertheless if you have been performing to no avail you need to diversify and try to get your music out in radio and TV stations. This kind of exposure will almost certainly put you in the limelight. Look for a popular D. J and take your projects to him. If he turns them down go back to the drawing board and implement whatever he said you must add.
Once you have garnered a significant following the main goal is to get published in a popular magazine with a god circulation. Try to organize an interview that will get you known for who you are and what you do for a living. Getting published is a sure-fire way of making sure that people get to know who you are as an artist.
I am openly opposed to recording using software programs even though I use them once in a while. Instead you should make your music using real live equipment. The ibanez electric guitar is a good starting point for rock stars as it is a very popular instrument. With other genres sonor drums work wonders.

Whilst you might imagine, one of the most important equipment that you can do to improve your golf game is aid your putting skills. Whilst it might seem impossible, just practicing and working to improve a few minor belongings will greatly improve your skills. Whilst you have learned what you need to do, exercise the skills until you have them mastered. Remember, a top putting skill will ultimately explain into a much improved long shot as well so taking the time to prepare your putting is very important.
You are of program going to desire to exercise to help, but the exact skills that you desire to prepare tend to vary starting player to player. When a general rule of thumb, near are three equipment that you require to specifically concentrate on in order to take the finest golf game possible. The first skill is ensuring that your swing is proper so that you will contact the ball exactly in the base of the club head. If you are not dead on the core you will never be able to master putting. You merely cannot hit the ball beginning the side of the club head also expect it to go straight. No theme how long you practice, this is not possible with will effect in plenty of frustration over what you are doing wrong.
As you have worked to assist hitting the ball commencing the very inside of the club head you desire to move onto tonsuring that you always hit the ball in a straight line to the target. This method if the ball needs to go 2 feet away from you towards the lake, you must not decide to aim the ball towards the tree beside it. You could think this sounds a bit strange, though many people do not squarely way the ball to the target. They next stand around next wonder why they are missing their shot. Even if you are off by only a fraction, this might seriously alter your putting skills because the ball is not going to go where you choose it to go.
You will likely desire to practice this point a lot, most community do not realize as they are only slightly off inside beginning the target. Nevertheless even the slightest difference away commencing the target will product in a missed shot next an increased handicap. Work on this by ensuring that you acquire plenty of time to exercise. This is even a skill that you might perform in your office, or bedroom at home using a small home putting kit. Nevertheless, going to the driving range is not going to assist you there so avoid them if possible while you are working on this skill.
Your last skill that you like to work on to assist your putting skills is working to prove that you are accelerating the club head once you are actually coming into contact plus the ball. Numerous players create the mistake of slowing the club down right before they actually hit the ball. This will cause you to lose the momentum that you desire in order for the ball to produce it to your target. Working to make a conscious effort not to slow the club down will generally be sufficient in order to help this skill next give you several improved results.

Roughly forty years ago, ghettos of New York City were brought alive by a developing culture we’d later know as HipHop. Right now, we draw the origins of this way of life to Afro-Americans and Latinos who lived in the city’s less fortunate neighborhoods in the early seventies. This was way more than a way of life for the gangster-inspired neighborhoods and pigeonholes back then. Hip Hop as a slowly building up culture was then declarative of the colored people’s unrest due to discrimination issues that allegedly took form in police brutality, political speeches and other social patterns believed to be deliberately perpetrated by the whites against their dignity. More than anything, Hip Hop was a way for these communities to express their objections to what they perceived to be the dehumanization of their skin. As a medium, those who lived this newly evolved culture were using music to convey their message to society. In the early seventies, New York DJ’s started playing a different brand of music which gave rise to unconventional dance moves which nevertheless clicked and soon, African-American and Latino rap were born. This revolution of sort had its get-gos in Bronx, Brooklyn and every nearby area where the music jocks explored their creativity and ended up with a characteristically different funky music that was defined by interjections of nonmusical sounds, the most famous of which was scratching. What characterized this evolving genre more were the rhythmic drum breaks that became characteristic of Hip Hop music, giving it more personality and power to soon gain fame among the club-going youth. So, Hip Hop grew massively and began to be a major force in the world of music. Its attention-getting beats and rhythms drew such great and enthusiastic crowds each time DJ’s were performing. It even got to a point when anybody who wanted a shot at stardom could crank out a Hip Hop beat and almost make it instantly. It was then that this lifestyle started to grow uncontrollably, especially with the introduction of breakdance and graffiti artists who were then the most interesting personalities of that period. In fact, Hip Hop grew so big that it overpowered whatever universal resistance existed between white and colored races in America. As the 1970s drew to a close, recording companies run by whites couldn’t ignore the enormity of the Hip Hop influence and started producing Hip Hop music in no time. Today, this culture is a way of life that could be captured through Latino rap or Spanish rap, both of which are synonymous with equally popular rap music produced by African-Americans whose roots comprise the other half of the Hip Hop movement nearly four decades ago.

best cheap guitar amps- It’s About Power
Cheap guitar amps come in all sorts of incarnations, from tiny micro amps to practise amps, to amps that might just about have enough power to get through a small gig without you being drowned out by the bass player. if you want something that can go incredibly loud, then you are going to need to go over 100 watts for sure. In particular, since costs for amps generally go up as their power goes up, you need to work out just how much power you really need.
What Do You Want?
Well, that depends on what you’re planning on doing with the amp. If you’re only ever going to use it to practise through headphones, then some sort of mini amp, like the Danelectro Honeytone M10 or the Dean Markley GR1000, is probably going to be enough for you.
If you’re planning on using it for practise, but would rather not have one extra wire getting tangled on the way to the amp, then possibly a slightly larger practise amp is in order. Rogue’s 10watt practise amp may not sound like it has much power, but it’s probably enough for a bedroom. The same applies to other good practise options like the Rocktron Velocity series 10W or the Fender Frontman 10W. Particularly good value for money is offered by the Behringer V-tone 15 Watt amp, which uses modelling technology to produce a number of different amp tones by offering options on amp type, speaker simulation, and gain type. Don’t let the slightly higher wattage fool you though, it’s still very much a practise amp.
So what do you do if you want cheap guitar amps that can handle large practises and some gigging? You up the power, of course. A 30 and 50 watt amp would be sufficient for most small gigs but if you have a large venue that you would want to run it through a pa anyway. If you just roll back the power enough to practice without bugging neighbors. Line 6’s Spider amps come in a thirty watt incarnation that lets you bring the versatility of modelling to your playing, while Marshall’s MG4 amp comes in at the same power, sounds good, and has one of the great names in amp design on the front as a bonus.
A general rule is that something 50 watts or more wil cover most of your needs, but if you are constantly going to gigs you may want bigger. Much past 100 watts, of course, it becomes hard to see how you could practise without either having to use headphones or seriously annoying the neighbours, so you’re probably looking at a dedicated amp. It should also be remembered that more power generally means more cost. Raven’s RG100 is probably the cheapest of the hundred watt amps out there, and could well be worth a go if you’re looking for cheap guitar amps but still really need the extra power.
