Digital photo-taking tips0

Photography is one of the most popular hobbies of people.People have this love of taking pictures.Either they take shots of their family or beautiful places or events. They also like to take photos of the places they have been to.  One thing people always want to learn is how to take better photos. And with the advent of digital cameras it is easier to do.But there are still lot to learn when it comes to photography skills.  So here are some quick tips to help you.

Now these tips are from the experience I have gained as a San Diego wedding photographer.  So these tips have come from a trial by fire.Because when you are taking shots of a big or special event you better get it right.

The first thing you need to learn is about lighting. You, as a photographer, should know the effects of light on your shots.  This is something I learned as a San Diego photographer.  Things like the sun for outdoor shots.Or the light in a room can affect your shots. Thankfully with digital cameras you can test out the lighting with actual shots. So the first tip is to test the effect of the light on your shots.

Learning how to create depth and dimension should be the next tip.In our world, we look at things in 3-dimensions.  But our cameras only see in 2-D.But if you learn how to create depth and dimension then you can make it look like 3-D.  It is a trick I had to learn doing San Diego event photography.  Nobody wants just photos of events. They would want to feel like as if they are in that place also.By creating depth in your photos then that could be doable.

Those are just a couple of tips on digital photography but learning them will certainly improve your photo-taking hobby.Your photos will be more beautiful and you will be more appreciative of your accomplishment.  So understand taking pictures is not just pointing and clicking.Taking photos also takes time to perfect and learn.

Sweet and Sassy Beauty Tips: Spa-Quality Uses for Honey0

cosmetic skincare+ making - When you think of beauty tips, do you think of the sweet stuff? I know for sure that I love a great chocolate facial. Then there are the many different sugar scrubs and spice wraps.

But all that stuff is expensive. My last holiday spa visit cost me over 150 dollars, and I did not even get a full massage! Luckily, there are quite a few ways to give yourself the same sweet treatments in your own home. What is the base ingredient for these facials and masques? Honey, naturally.

Below are just a few uses for honey that will leave you feeling delicious and beautiful:

* Honey Do Beauty Tip #1: Be bubblicious. - Just adding a cup of honey to your bubble bath will leave your skin soft and smooth. A loofah will help you skin look extra creamy and glowing. If you want to take a milk bath, much like Cleopatra, just add 4 tablespoons of whole milk powder to your bath. Of course, any time you bathe in edible products, be sure you rinse off really well when you are done.

* Honey Do Beauty Tip #2: Layer it on. - A really great egg white masque can be made by whipping egg whites, a tablespoon of honey and a tad bit of flour or unsweetened cocoa together until they make a thick paste. Open up your pores first by putting a hot cloth on your face for 3 minutes. The put the mask on. Relax for 10 minutes. Then just wash it off with warm water and love your fresh and youthful skin.

* Beauty Tips Using Honey #3: Create your own silky-skin toner. - Put a half a cup of honey, 2 cups of buttermilk and a half a cup of rosewater in an airtight container and mix together. If you have a Tupperware with a screw-on lid, it will work perfect. Shake together until thoroughly. You will end up with a mixture that is quite runny and cloudy in color. You may then apply it with a cotton ball and your skin will be beautiful and toned.

You always want to use the best honey for these treatments. You can get a nice size jar of organic honey for much less than 20 dollars. You can use this for your honey do beauty tips for months to come.

You may be feeling uncertain about your mineral makeup look, so you can just convert some of your powdered foundation to liquid. Tap some powdered mineral foundation into the lid of a container. Dip a makeup brush in water then into the powder. This light, age-defying foundation is applied with east. This type of foundation also hold onto makeup better than others.

* Take photographs of your wrinkles - Worries can often be erased along with your wrinkles if you have a digital camera. Take some before and after shots. This will help you determine when you have enough mineral makeup on. (Its probably going to be sooner than you would expect).

* Don’t forget that you will not have to make a total switch - A lot of people really like entire lines of mineral makeup. Nevertheless, you really don’t have to give up your all-time favorites. Mineral makeup is totally compatible with non-mineral makeup. Your skin will still be protected from irritation if you use a mineral foundation and non-mineral cosmetics over it.

Singing Vocal Lessons0

Have you ever wished that you could sing more professionally? If you answered yes, then you need professional singing lessons. But a quick word of warning before you jump in head first. Many people try learning to sing and then give up without achieving the results they’d hoped for.  Here are some things to keep in mind to get maximum benefit from your vocal singing lessons:

Finding The Right Vocal Coach

In order to get maximum benefit from your vocal lessons, you first need to be able to identify a professional vocal coach. A professional voice coach will help you become a great singer one step at a time, without you feeling overwhelmed. A great singing coach will help you to develop your strengths, identify your weaknesses and help you improve with the right combination of vocal exercises. For tips on finding a great voice teacher in your area, check out this article about: private voice teachers . In addition, this article about vocal coaching provides a useful list of questions to ask a prospective voice teacher to help you make the best possible decision.

Come To Your Lessons Prepared

You’ll get the most from your singing lessons if you arrive prepared. In practice this means you should have already made a list of questions that you’d like your coach to address. You will learn so much more this way and your classes will become more interactive. When regularly presented with questions, you coach will be more committed to ensuring that you become a better singer. When you come prepared you lessons will immediately become more fun because you’ll start focusing on the things that interest you.

You Won’t Sound Like A Star Without Practice

Practice between lessons is vital to help you master the techniques that you are taught by your vocal coach. Learning to sing well is very similar to learning to play an instrument. With regular practice it becomes easy.

Patience Is A Virtue

Patience is also important to get the most from your singing lessons. Singing in key and hitting the right notes is an art and takes time to perfect. Without patience you risk giving up before reaching your goal of singing like a star. Don’t expect to be an overnight success but stick at it and you will reach your goals.

Enjoy Yourself

To be an excellent singer, you need to enjoy if not love what you do. Treat your singing like a passion and not a chore. Be careful not to overdo it and you should continue to enjoy your singing and stay motivated. With the right attitude and mindset you will gain a lot from your lessons but just remember not to get so wound up in it that you forget to have fun!

What Are Your Alternatives?

Although private vocal singing lessons are a great way to improve your singing, they have one major drawback - they’re pricey! The cost of vocal singing lessons adds up quickly. It’s no surprise then that an increasing number of aspiring singers are choosing affordable home study singing lessons to teach themselves to sing. The best online singing lessons are inexpensive and an effective alternative to private singing lessons. Click here to learn about online vocal lessons

Interviewing A Singing Teacher0

Today we look at 5 imporant questions to ask a prospective vocal coach before splashing out on singing lessons. You can use these questions to get a feel for the vocal teacher’s level of experience. For questions about the costs involved in taking singing lessons see this article: singing lessons cost . Bear in mind that these questions should be treated as a guideline. Some of the best vocal coaches may not have the time to answer all your questions in advance as they may be too busy. If it happens that the singing teacher doesn’t have the time to answer all your questions, you could try out a few lessons and get the answers you’re looking for then. It’s best to treat these questions as suggestions.

Questions for your singing teacher:

  • How many years of teaching experience do you have? Obviously teachers with more experience will tend to charge more for lessons. Also the longer the teacher has been training students the higher your chances of finding a former student happy to discuss the vocal coaches strengths and potential weaknesses.
  • Where did you get your singing education? Preferably you want a vocal coach who has had years of performance experience or years of lessons or training in a degree program that focuses on the voice. The vocal coach does not have to have a degree from an Ivy League school to be a good teacher. The most important thing is that she knows how to pass on her singing knowledge.
  • Do you perform? If so, where? If you have the opportunity to hear the vocal coach sing, then by all means go. You may discover a lot about his personality that you might not get to see during your singing lessons.
  • Do you teach different styles of music? If you want assistance with a certain voice type or singing style, then you’ll want to ensure that the singing teacher has the necessary experience.
  • Where do your lessons take place? Lessons might be held in a studio, a school, at the voice teacher’s home or perhaps even at your home (for which you should expect to pay more). The location should be convenient for you to get to.
  • What kind of music do your students sing? You want to find out if the vocal coach is interested in the same kind of music that you enjoy. If you can’t select your own songs, it’ll help if you can imagine yourself enjoying singing the kind of songs that she assigns to her students.

Be wary of singing teachers who offer “a life altering method of singing “. Teaching people how to sing is by no means a new profession so it’s much better to go with a tried and tested singing method than to waste your money on experiments. Every rule has an exception, and the one exception I can think of for this rule is Per Bristow’s Singing Zone Training (The Singing Zone review). All the best with it and have fun!

The Healing Power of Nature: We Must Not Forget….0

There is a balance between industries and common every day folk across all walks and aspects of life. There is no doubt about it, big corporations have become very powerful. They have developed influence in the political arena as part of their power structures.

Therefore, you have an industry that manufactures drugs. Maybe, as rumour has it, they have wrapped their arms around a certain government regulatory agency. Who knows? With this power, they can spend money on research and get ‘approved’ by this regulatory agency. Then they can market their prescription medications for outrageous prices.

Yet, the natural remedies that currently exist, such as cough natural remedies, have no such champion with big purse strings. In fact, many of the big prescription drug medications are nothing more than concentrated, synthetic and slightly different copies of compounds that naturally exist in nature.

So, therefore, regular remedies, like herbal healing, that grow in the forest, desert or perhaps even in one’s backyard can’t get the stamp of approval from this unnamed government agency, as a substance that is proven to have a positive effect on health.

It’s rather funny when you think about it. But then, nature was there before any government and nature will be there after. Interesting isn’t it? Nature doesn’t seem to require government approval.

But we spoke of a balance a few moments ago. The power definitely seems to rest on one side of the equation. But what is happening on the other side? Alternative healers, old books, and folk wisdom passed down through the ages are still out there and from them, many people learn to apply natural healing methods (that don’t have that big stamp of approval from an authoritarian agency) to solve their health problems. Because the costs of getting ‘official’ treatment and officially approved prescription meds now make the cost of getting said treatment beyond the reach of many.

In other cases, some people just know about simple things that work and they seem to work better, cost less and cause less trauma to the human body when implemented than the results derived from going through ‘official’ channels. If you are a person who doesn’t have unlimited wealth, what way are you likely to go?

Next, learn more about: natural remedies for and others as well!

Embrace and preserve the natural healing choices that have alway been with us.

Even If You Can Help Just One Person - It is Worth It!0

stop gingivitis

Today, I received a very gratifying phone call. It was from a man who has read my book on gum disease. He said that it was very good and that it has helped him a lot. His gum tissue is becoming healthier, he said it is really working.

I can not begin to tell you how important it is for an author to get this kind of feedback. This is particularly true for a non-fiction work. The topic is no game and it is not the construction of a fantasy world. Therefore, when people get real world benefit, it is very satisfying.

This man told me about how he had solved his problems with heart disease and glaucoma in the past. He is very alternative health oriented and quite aware of what is out there. We talked a good deal about health care and how it is delivered and how very valid and powerful therapies seem to be buried from the mainstream.

Things are changing however. With the Internet it is possible to spread knowledge that would have remained in very isolated pockets in the past. However, to create a paradigm shift is not something that is easily accomplished.

It takes the efforts of many, many people most of the time. Unfortunately, that old saying: "You don’t know what you don’t know", is very true.

This is one of the major drawbacks to being human: You cannot see or know it all. That means we all can easily become the victims of our own lack of knowledge. I believe that the book, Zhuan Falun, touches on this truth in it’s opening statement.

Some of the tools that I have found useful in my struggle against gum disease are the Hydro Floss oral irrigator and a water ozonator. When you purchase a HydroFloss be sure to shop around for the best deal.

Cycladic Sculptures in the Greek Islands - Ancient Greece Art0

Dalai Lama Art Exhibit

The Earthworks movement, a unique part of the history of contemporary art, clearly had something to say about society, technology and modern culture. Rather than utilizing nature motifs and creating two-dimensional painted landscapes, the Earthworks artists pursued direct modification of the landscape itself. This approach was both traditional and progressive.

The Greek islands of the Cyclades are located to the South East of Greece and to the North of Crete in the Aegean Sea. There are more than two hundred islands approximating a circle around the most significant island Delos, the birthplace of Apollo, Greek God of music and light from Greek mythology and of Artemis, the huntress. The Greek name for the Cyclades is Kyklades, an obvious reference to a circle.

During the period between 3200 and 2000 B.C. the small Cycladic islands in the Aegean became home to a flourishing culture. The most prominent craft in Cycladic culture was stone-cutting, especially marble sculpture. The abundance of high quality white marble on the islands encouraged its use for the creation of a wide range of artifacts. Among these, Cycladic Figurines are the most distinctive Cycladic creation because of the style, the great numbers in which they are found, and the significance they held for their owners. The majority of Cycladic Figurines show women, nude with the arms folded over the belly and the long feet, soles sloping downwards. We do not know whether they were meant to show mortals or deities, but probably symbolized the worship of the ‘Mother Goddess’. In this case, the figurines may have been conceived as representations of the Goddess, or companions to her. Many figurines have been discovered in relation to burials as the Cycladic civilization flourished and burials became more elaborate to reflect status.

Color Field painting is further separated from Pop Art and a number of other contemporary movements in ideal and aim. Color Field painting can be viewed as conservative and apolitical in comparison with the cynical, immoral view of life put forth by Pop Art. The use of amorphous, simplified or geometric shapes and the overwhelming emphasis on color makes the works of Frankenthaler, Louis and Noland universal in their language and message.

To this day Keros and surrounding islands are home mainly to archeologists attempting to explain one of those mysteries of human behavior and human art that drive us with a ‘need to know’. Art, in all forms, leaves behind a legacy of a civilizations history, behavior, values and intrigue. Fortunately for us it also provides beauty that only human civilizations can produce

Emily Mander’s Singorama Review0

Finally a top quality singing course that does what it says on the box and doesn’t break the bank! Singorama states that no matter how poorly you might sing right now, in three short months you can sing and perform like a professional. Yeah, I know big claims are all over the Internet but what really counts is the success that real people are having with this course. And this is where Singorama shines. Singorama users are claiming that after just a few months using their course, they can hardly believe the progress they’ve made in achieving a professional sound. Click here for in depth Emily Mander Singorama reviews .

What this means is that people who before could never reach high notes are now not only singing them with ease but holding them as if their voices were floating on air. It’s amazing to hear of so many people completely overcoming their fear and self doubt after just a few months using online singing lessons. Folks who before you couldn’t even drag out onto the stage if you wanted to, are now singing confidently in front of live audiences - and relishing every second of the limelight.

The crazy thing is that so many of these folks are saying that they used to be told that they didn’t have what it takes to be a singer. It just goes to show that people are not necessarily “born to sing” as is commonly believed. All you need to sing like a pro is a little determination and access to the right tools. This probably sounds hard to swallow because most likely, you too have been led to believe that you’re either born to sing or you’re not. Don’t believe it! Too many people do and just hold themselves back from discovering their hidden talent and becoming a professional singer.

So if this sounds exciting to you, you can read an independent Singorama 2.0 review at the Star Singing Lessons website where you can get also get free online singing tips. They provide a comprehensive review of Singorama and exactly what you can realistically expect to learn with the Emily Mander’s updated Singorama course.
